Review: Cursed Cocktails: A Cozy Fantasy (Tales of Aedrea)

Have you ever wanted to live in a fantasy book, just without the threat of oppression or the horrors of war? This book is a wonderful escape that will allow you to do just that! In “Cursed Cocktails,” S.L. Rowland crafts a charming tale set in the enchanting world of Aedrea. Rhoren, a blood mage and military veteran, retires to idyllic Eastborne not quite knowing what to do with the rest of his life, except he’s always had a dream to recreate his father’s cocktail recipes. As he embarks on a quest to open his own tavern, he meets a colorful cast of friends, including a sweet bar tender. The plot is layered lightly with mystery (where the “curse” comes in), a shot of love, and culminates in a satisfying, action-packed finish. It’s a book where the stakes may be low, but the spirits (and spirits!) are high.
