This incredibly charming book feels like a hug from Granny with a plate of homemade cookies and a side of murder.
This isn’t your normal murder investigation, it’s more of a “what’s really going on here?” tale involving a ghost tied to an unsolved murder, water rights disputes, and a string of unsettling threats to Summer, our spirited teen protagonist. I didn’t follow any clues, but found myself there for the ride (singing in the car all the way).
As a vintage thrift lover myself, I loved the fashion descriptions and the quirky, cozy world Warren has created. It’s a place you want to visit, if you don’t mind a little murder with your lemonade. I look forward to more adventures with this delightful cast of characters.
